1980
Bowman Photography started when a friend from a college photography class asked Matt to photograph her wedding. Today, many years and thousands of weddings later, Bowman Photography has expanded to include several associate photographers and assistants.
1992
Bowman Photography goes from part-time to full-time.
1995
Bowman Photography opens full service studio in Johnson City, TN.
1998
Bowman Photography began producing the “21st Century Wedding Expo” an annual series of bridal shows in East Tennessee.
2001
We launched our professional wedding video services. Two new photo/video packages were introduced.
2002
We started offering digital photography services.
2003
We opened a second location in North Metro Atlanta primarily for wedding photography.

Bowman Photography added a second Wedding Expo show in Greeneville, TN.
2006
All wedding photography packages upgraded to include custom photo website.

Although our primary business is wedding photography, we also offer engagement sessions, bridal portrait sessions and custom family portraiture. We are known for beautiful outdoor portraiture using natural light and settings.
2006
Bowman Photography expanded wedding coverage into the upstate South Carolina and Augusta, GA markets.
2007
Bowman Photography moved office and studio to Athens, GA and was accepted into the prestigious Athens Wedding Professionals Group.
